Culture-historical retrospect to the marriage of painter Johannes Võerahansu and pianist Erna Saar that was characterized by deep respect and love towards art.

Johannes Võerahansu (1902 -1980) is one of the most prominent masters of painting in Estonia. He obtained his first exhaustive art education in the legendary Ants Laikmaa's studio school in early 1920s. Võerahansu has shown his work at exhibitions and attracted attention with his drawings; however, he was more intrigued by the art of painting himself. Oma abikaasat meenutab kontsertpianist ja kauaaegne klaveripedagoog Erna Saar. Vanadaam kirjeldab oma tutvumise lugu ja vaimset lähedustunnet endast üle kolmekümne aasta vanema muusikalembese kunstnikuga. See on kahe väljapaistva kunstniku lugu koos veedetud paarikümnest aastast.

Expatriate Estonian, poet Kalju Lepik, visits his fatherland Estonia after having been away from it for about 50 years.

Poet Kalju Lepik, expatriate Estonian living in Sweden, is awarded Juhan Liiv poetry award for his poetry series "Old melodies" published in 1989 in Estonia. When coming to receive his award in Juhan Liiv's birth place Alatskivi, Lepik visits his home country for the first time after having been away for about fifty years. The poet goes to see the places of his childhood in Koeru as well as visits his mother after a long period of separation. In the background the author reads his own poetry.

Käis's works were forbidden to the mid-1960s during the Soviet era and he was accused for propagating bourgeois-nationalist views. The documentary that has been commissioned by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Estonia gives an overview about Johannes Käis's life; his students and relatives share their memories and recollections; educational historians appreciate Käis's valuable life's work.
