Johannes Võerahansu (1902 -1980) is one of the most prominent masters of painting in Estonia. He obtained his first exhaustive art education in the legendary Ants Laikmaa's studio school in early 1920s. Võerahansu has shown his work at exhibitions and attracted attention with his drawings; however, he was more intrigued by the art of painting himself.

Oma abikaasat meenutab kontsertpianist ja kauaaegne klaveripedagoog Erna Saar. Vanadaam kirjeldab oma tutvumise lugu ja vaimset lähedustunnet endast üle kolmekümne aasta vanema muusikalembese kunstnikuga. See on kahe väljapaistva kunstniku lugu koos veedetud paarikümnest aastast.
