In summers, filmmakers together with film students travel around Estonia by an old bus called "Kinobuss" with the purpose of restoring cinema traditions in Estonia.

Kinobuss is a revived form of mobile cinema. Young filmmakers and film students travel around Estonia in order to promote Estonian film and introduce contemporary means of the "moving picture" with the help of technological innovations. Through the protagonists' enthusiastic attitude towards life and sharing their knowledge on cinematography, the documentary observes the traveling of Kinobuss, the road-movie-ish story about the possibilities of cinema in a small territory such as Estonia where the importance of culture, and cinema culture, outweighs the one of economy.

Born as an Estonian citizen in Viru county, Estonia, in January 1950, Rein Mikke was involuntarily adopted by the employees of The People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs (NKVD) and his name was changed to Vladimir Levchenkov, later Aleksey Levchenkov. Originally an Estonian citizen must acquire another citizenship while living in his homeland due to the fact that the act of involuntary adoption remained lawfully valid and Mikke's identity was proved only by his red passport.
