Documentary about the contribution of the Estonian pilots in the Red Army in establishing and developing a Soviet aerodrome in 1920s-1930s. After the Great Patriotic War, the deputy of the head of Russian air fleet was Estonian August Kork and quite a lot of Estonian men were serving in the air force of the Red Army: Lavrenti Martinson, Georg Linno, brothers Jaan and Jakob Nusberg and many others. The documentary has used old photographs and archival materials. The film serves as a continuation of the films "The first five-pointed stars" and "The sky torn apart", directed by Ülo Tambek.

Documentary by Ülo Tambek about the first aviators in Estonia.

Compendious documentary based on photographs and archival materials about Estonian aviators and their activities in the battles of the World War One. Lots of Estonian young men who had obtained aeronautics education in Russian, English and French achieved later the Officer's rank in Imperial Russian army. The Russian Revolution of 1917 made the aviators to choose sides. Many Estonian aviators chose to fight for the Red Army. The documentary gives a slight overview of several Estonian pilots.
