According to the director of the film, Ülo Tambek, the documentary has been dedicated to the Soviet soldiers who fought in World War II in the late fall of 1941, protecting the island of Hiiumaa from the German forces.
It is late fall of 1941. Oryol has surrendered, Kharkov has fallen, Leningrad is enclosed, there are German forces in Khimki station.
