The diligent spinners of the textile factory "Balti manufaktuur" have taken the biggest occupational responsibility in the whole Soviet Union.

On February 6, 1976 six employees of the textile factory Baltic Manufactory took on a responsibility to work simultaneously on six pneumomechanical spinning machines. The doumentary observers the six women during a complicated production situation.

Cross section about one working day in the power system of the north-west region of the Soviet Union. The work in Baltic and Estonian power plants is observed by the filmmakers. This is not a usual day in the plant but much more stressful and full of work - normally during the night shift from Sunday to Monday. Then the equipment that has been standing by or under repair will be switched back on.

Various agricultural work has been filmed in Haljala collective farm, the film also depicts men fixing machines in a shop and talking about work. Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
