The documentary shows episodes about the namegiving party and the surroundings of the home where the baby Hannes lives – residential buildings, construction work, grain harvesting, work in the cowshed, tractor harvesting the dry hay in the field, making ensilage. The film also depicts Hannes' parents Ene and Villem Martjak, Endel Lieberg - head of the collective farm.

The Russian Revolution of 1917 made the aviators to choose sides. Many Estonian aviators chose to fight for the Red Army. The documentary gives a slight overview of several Estonian pilots.
