Kert is a ten-year-old boy from Rapla county, Estonia, who is enchanted by classical music. His days are filled with school, performances and interest towards electronics. In order to move closer to his dream job, Kert has been regularly practising flute for the past three years as well as visiting the rehearsalt of ERSO (Estonian National Symphony Orchestra). A student concert of works by Arvo Pärt was held in 2011 in the Tallinn Swedish St Michael´s Church as a collaboration between the Old Town Music School in Tallinn and the Arvo Pärt Centre.

In 2011 the Old Town Music School of Collegium Educationis Revaliae and the International Arvo Pärt Centre together staged a student concert of works by Arvo Pärt in Tallinn`s Swedish St Michael`s Church. The duble DVD package is a recording of the concert and the rehearsals.

Heli Teppo, music teacher of Rõuge basic school and her pupil Andres Piigli express their thoughts and emotions about the youth song celebration in 1987.

Gustav Ernesaks once greeted the young participants in song celebration: "Welcome, you vivacious bees of sound! You have gathered, note by note, the honey of song to our joint honeycomb of song with such hard work and care!" Music teacher Heli Teppo and Andres Piigli, pupil of Rõuge basic school, express their memories about the youth song celebration in 1987, that brought a new swarm of bees of song to the song festival ground. They are interviewed by Lehte Hainsalu.

Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
