An emotional journey in space and time during the theatre season of 1986/1987 in Theatre Vanemuine. The 117th season began as usual with the conference of theatregoers where Kaarel Ird, the artistic director of the theatre who is about to retire, talks to the audience. A few months later there will be already his funeral ceremony at the theatre. Ago-Endrik Kerge, the leading director of the theatre, talks about the new situation for himself and for the theatre. Excerpts from various rehearsals and play "Time to arrive, time to leave" with Jaan Tooming and Helje Soosalu.

Social documentary about the technology-oriented boys' restricted opportunities to practice their hobby and several acute and painful youth problems at the end of 1980s.

While there are too few opportunities for children with the interest towards technology to participate in various hobby groups, boys invent their own ways to get necessary parts for constructing motorbikes and ride with the bikes in the streets. This, in turn, troubles the residents of the areas surrounding Tallinn. The boys openly talk about their dissatisfaction, problems and hopes. Due to its financial difficulties the moto club cannot accept everyone to join. Several districts in Tallinn do not have either cultural or sports centres.

You have gathered, note by note, the honey of song to our joint honeycomb of song with such hard work and care!" Music teacher Heli Teppo and Andres Piigli, pupil of Rõuge basic school, express their memories about the youth song celebration in 1987, that brought a new swarm of bees of song to the song festival ground. They are interviewed by Lehte Hainsalu.

Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
