    1981

    Enrico Barone comes from the eccentric and vibrant city of Naples in Italy. After graduating from the University of Rome, in the Department of Slavic and Finnish-Ugrian Cultural Studies and Film Theory, Enrico studied graphic design and commercial photography in Naples. Later on he first moved to Prague and then to Tallinn. In 2017 Enrico graduated from the Baltic Film and Media School, Department of Film and Audiovisual Media, as director and screenwriter of two short films. In addition to that since  2013 he participated in curating the programme of  "Riga World Film Festival"

    Director Elīza Bēniņa graduated from Baltic Film, Media and Arts School of Tallinn University (Audiovisual Media Bachelor) in 2020. She was born and raised in Rīga (Latvia) and has had interest in arts since childhood. After graduating from high school, she went to Northern Ireland to volunteer in a social centre. There she became interested in social themes, which continue to be main leading element in her films. She is interested in both documentary and fiction as a director, scriptwriter and editor. She has participated with her projects in Global Short Docs Forum (Kiev, 2019) and Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad" (2019), worked in Latvian Television (LTV “History Teacher”, 2019) and Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (“Meet the Filmmakers”, 2017). In 2021 she made a short documentary “Matz” for ETV “Estonian Stories”. In her filmmaking work she wants to raise awareness and tell the stories of those whose voices are usually silenced.

    Zaida Bergroth (b. 1977) is a Finnish film director. Her focus is often on wild family stories and complex, extreme characters. Her themes include the relationships between mothers and daughters, brothers and sisters. Drama films with a twist, psychological stories with genre elements. Zaida`s latest feature film Maria`s paradise has its world premiere in Toronto 2019. Miami (2017) produced by Helsinki filmi had its international festival premiere in Toronto IFF 2017. The Good Son (2011) feature film, produced by Bufo, has been screened at over 40 festivals around the world, such as Toronto International Film Festival (intl. premiere), Chicago International Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival and Luxor Egyptian and  European Film Festival (winner of the Silver Djed). Zaida`s debut feature film Last Cowboy Standing (2009), produced by Juonifilmi and NikoVantastic Film won in South-Korea Pusan Film Festival Flash Forward award. Zaida has also directed three short films between years 2004-2007.
