Lullaby (2021)

The story of a mentally ill Laura who loses custody of her 4-year-old daughter.

Laura (Mirtel Pohla) picks up her daughter Klaara (Arabella Pall) from the kindergarten. The substitute kindergarten teacher is unaware that Laura has lost custody of her daughter. The mother and daughter spend the day together at Laura’s house, where they rip off Klaara’s father from photos. Sander (Rain Tolk), the father, learns that Laura has taken their child, and tries calling her, but Laura does not pick up the phone. Laura, meanwhile, puts Klaara to sleep while singing an ominous lullaby. Sander drives to Laura’s house and demands to be let in, but Laura panics and calls the police. When the police arrive, they arrest Sander, believing him to be the one with evil intentions. After a violent panic attack, Laura enters Klaara’s room. Sander, cuffed in the police car, tries to convince the police officers that his daughter is in danger. The police finally enter the house and bring Klaara out alive. Laura has taken her own life in the shower.
