Either it's the anti maskers, anti vaccers or just a bunch of unpleasant customers, she has to deal with them face to face in almost every work shift. The film is divided into three parts that talk about the main problems through my grannies eyes. It is combined with her work routine and leisure time between those parts that also reveal in which shop she is working as a cashier at.

The animation is hand drawn and has original sound.
There is no certain narrative in the animation. The film is built on different symbols and depicts a photocamera as something that catches things - whether the glances, the time or the souls.
The animation is all about what might happen when the shutter is off.

“Step On Board” is a story of Sari Crnobreg and her challenging work as a Site Manager of the multi-cultural cleaning team of 100 people. Sari dedicates her life to the physically and mentally demanding job in the constantly changing environment of a cruiser ship. The cleaning time of 60 minutes pushes the cleaners to the maximum in order to finish the 700 cabins on time. Sari doesn’t according to her own words “anymore even see the difference between foreigners and Finns”. She just sees the people whom she works with.
