Johannes Võerahansu (1902 -1980) is one of the most prominent masters of painting in Estonia. He obtained his first exhaustive art education in the legendary Ants Laikmaa's studio school in early 1920s. Võerahansu has shown his work at exhibitions and attracted attention with his drawings; however, he was more intrigued by the art of painting himself. With his rich life experience and natural kindness, Kalev Raave won people's hearts and he started to restore Halliste church in Viljandi county, Estonia. He had experienced numerous miracles in his life. Miracle perception was one of the possible connections with God for Kalev Raave - without a miracle one won't be able to perceive the otherworldly.
