The debut feature film directed by Lembit Ulfsak is a road movie about people who have reached their midlife crisis. One summer they take a trip to a healer through the picturesque landscapes of Estonia, in order to regain happiness in their lives.

Two well-off married couples (Pille and Tõnu, Silva and Hubert) have reached the understanding that something is wrong in their lives. They pin their hopes on NIgul, the famous healer living in southern Estonia. Together with Helena, who is better equipped with esoteric knowledge, the couples set off for a cross-country car trip on a nice summer day. They are being warned during their journey that the healer won't change their lives in a second. When arriving at their destination, the couples will face an unexpected surprise.

Don Juan in Tallinn

Musical comedy directed by Arvo Kruusement is based on the play "In Sevilla or Don Juan" by Samuil Aljoschin. The classical story has been given a colourful interpretation through the pop music of 1960s and 1970s, fashion, and the architecture of the old town of Tallinn. The film includes lots of singing, dancing and fashion show. Its medieval milieu is mixed with the everyday items of the 20th century.

One day, an elegant young swordsman arrives at the good old Tallinn where its inhabitants extravagantly boast with fashionable outfit and pop culture of 1960s and 1970s. Soon the rumours spread among female citizens that the swordsman is the famous ladykiller Don Juan. The virtues of the local women are put to the test and the local young men have to take up arms in order to prove themselves. Yet, the Don Juan arriving at Tallinn is not the one whom people consider him to be.

Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
