Kaspar Rummi's, Mikk Mäe's and Mona Brit Luur's master's thesis is a 42-minute long documentary show that reflects the history of Estonian crime shows through the eyes and experiences of those who make them. We also touch on various events in the development of the content and formats of crime shows. The show reflects the period of the 90s and early 00s.

In “Corpse Merchants”, legendary Estonian crime show figures talk about their most memorable works and all the “fun” and heartache that came with their jobs. How did it all begin and how did it end? As honestly as possible, we get a deep dive of their crime shows and the stories behind their hard work.

On Spain’s Costa del Sol a Finnish family abandoned by a crime boss take their own back by stealing the haul of a major heist.

"Hit Big" revolves around Marjaleena, a 60-year-old, boozed-up former beauty pageant star who left Finland for Spain's Costa del Sol where she runs Bar Belle, once a popular spot for Finnish tourists, with her handyman Mikko. One day, they hear that Marjaleena's husband, Worm, will be released after 20 years in prison and is planning a dream life with his cell-mate lover thanks to the stashed proceeds of a major heist. Feeling betrayed, Marjaleena sets off to get her share of the millions.

Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
