„Atop a mountain“ is an adaption from Elviira Mihhaolovna’s novel „Prügimäel“ Film is about middle-aged woman named Maria who has reached a dead end in her life, and looks for an exit.

On a early spring night, Maria understands that she is breaking out from her cold-hearted cocoon. Initially, Maria sees only hope in vodka. But this time there comes another lonely sould, Georgi, with whom she stoles her last vodka and makes a great step towards a better life. Somehow, Maria is confronted with a world, where money is not the game and your masks are torn away. In this new world Maria finds a way to turn everything around. Elderly neighbourghs find out that Maria and her car have gone missing. And they think there is a more criminal meaning this.

On Walpurgis Night, 30 th of April, there was a live broadcast of the traditional spring concert by Tallinn University’s symphonic orchestra, who this year performed Carl Orff’s epic cantata “Carmina Burana”. Conductor Martin Sildos lead, in addition to the orchestra, where over 50 students, teachers and workers of TLÜ play, also a choir with 110 singers and soloists Maria Listra, Valter Soosalu and Atlan Karp.
