Don Juan in Tallinn

Musical comedy directed by Arvo Kruusement is based on the play "In Sevilla or Don Juan" by Samuil Aljoschin. The classical story has been given a colourful interpretation through the pop music of 1960s and 1970s, fashion, and the architecture of the old town of Tallinn. The film includes lots of singing, dancing and fashion show. Its medieval milieu is mixed with the everyday items of the 20th century.

One day, an elegant young swordsman arrives at the good old Tallinn where its inhabitants extravagantly boast with fashionable outfit and pop culture of 1960s and 1970s. Soon the rumours spread among female citizens that the swordsman is the famous ladykiller Don Juan. The virtues of the local women are put to the test and the local young men have to take up arms in order to prove themselves. Yet, the Don Juan arriving at Tallinn is not the one whom people consider him to be.

The adventures of the Old Thomas and the historians who are chasing him through the romantic Old Town of Tallinn and the newer district of Tallinn. The whole film has the mood of song celebrations and the characters are always accompanied by music, songs and dance.

The first full-length feature film directed by Leida Laius is based on the novel "The Milkman of Mäeküla" by Eduard Vilde, contemplating the moral choices of a man and a woman in an Estonian village at the end of 19th century.

When Baron von Kremer, the old owner of Mäeküla manor, starts liking Tõnu Prillup's young girlfriend Mari, Tõnu would not first hear of it. Then, the baron offers Tõnu a tempting deal - to become the manor's milkman on condition that Mari will come to see the baron when he invites her. Prillup has high hopes but unfortunately the milkman's job won't meet his expectations and he is more and more against sharing Mari with the baron. Tõnu expects Mari to loathe her double life, but she won't take the blame.

Attractive bike constructor Rita has completed a brand new racing bike model called the Light Blue Antelope. She is looking for somene to test the new bike at Tallinn-Riga bicycle race but no one among the bicycle racers will agree. Then she seems to find the right solution - her new acquaintances Robert and Leo are two successful sportsmen. There are two parallel plot lines in the film: next to the abovementioned story, there is another one, an animated parody depicting the adventures of Author and Director during the film shooting and at the arts council.

Marika, a student and a motobike racer, and her identical twin sister Ellen, a ballerina, experience lots of fun and dramatic adventures during the motorbike racing event. Marika has an opportunity to choose among her fellow sportsmen, all of them having different values in life. Raul has become too self-confident and arrogant due to his athletic achievements and will be deeply disappointed when instead of winning another race it turns out that he is being cheated by the twin sisters.

Vaike, a student and a motorbike racer, arrives at the racetrack where the bikes are already racing at full speed. She gets involved in adventures while getting acquainted with Raivo, successful biker and womanizer, and Heino, another big league biker who offers Vaike his help in preparing for the competition. Vaike finds it hard to face all that alone. Her twin sister Maret will helped her with this complicated situation. Only that this time Maret's new husband Ants will join the game. He is convinced that he can make the difference between Maret and Vaike.
