Surya, a teenage ragpicker, finds a camera on a huge garbage mountain in Delhi. The camera becomes her window to the untold stories of women surrounding her. When Surya's father forces her to get married, the camera turns into a tool of self-defense. The film walks the line between documentary and fiction and focuses on a community of garbage collectors who try to find their place in the world amidst garbage and scorching heat.

The film is a humorously wistful documentation of families living in the snowy fields of Lapland, apartments in Vantaa, on the staircases of shopping malls, at construction sites, hotel lobbies, and of grandchildren in the living rooms of Estonian grandmothers who are waiting for their children to come home.
