The pupils prepare for joining the Communist pioneer movement, so they have to study the rules first. The teacher has separate conversations with some of them discussing their behaviour. The filmmakers have recorded the colourful expressions of the children as well as the school milieu reminding of the atmosphere of Estonian parish school in late 19th entury.
