The feature film is an Estonian-Polish co-production directed by Marek Piestrak and based on the story "The Investigation" by science-fiction writer Stanislaw Lem. The suspense film tells the story of a space flight with robots among the crew, in order to find out whether robots can replace human beings during space flights.

Developing androids has theoretically reached the point where these could be mass-produced. It must be tested first whether androids can be preferred to human beings since robots are free from human weaknesses. In order to prove this, navigator Pirx must complete a space flight together with a crew where there are robots among human beings, in order to get the neutral evaluation of everyone's abilities. However, It turns out during the flight that even robots don't want to become mass-produced items and the moment the perfect android goes against its creator, human beings will have nothing else to rely on ...

The film conveys the message that is against war, Fascism, Bourgeois nationalism, and abstract humanism; it supports the idea of understanding between generations and the unity of ideals and objectives.

The captain Kihnu Jõnn must tame the desperate crew and make a deal with heavenly powers in order to take the ship and the crew to the port of destination.

Very different people meet on a ferry from Virtsu to Kuivastu on a June day: a hairdresser with her educated husband; her handicapped brother with his sister's neglected child; four female students of linguistics and four young specialists; a group of islanders returning home; and two stowaways - a young couple in love. The steersman of the ferry is having a hangover and breaks the ferry regulation while letting two fuel vehicles on board. It turns out during the trip that there is a truck on board where something has caught the flame.
