Textile artist Elna Kaasik creates the death cloths of Estonian kroon for the applied arts exhibition "Ragulka" ("Slingshot").

Textile artist Elna Kaasik is inspired by the history of Estonian kroon in her work based on banknotes. The artist weaves carpets out of newspaper and banknote strips for the exhibition "Estonian Applied Art Slingshot 2011" - she calls her work as death cloths of the first Estonian currency. Estonian kroon was effective in the Republic of Estonia in 1924-1941 and was again taken into use in 1992 when Estonia regained its independence. Suddenly he hears a loud voice which commands him to stop, sit, lay down and bark. The teacher is very confused but obeys. Eventually after the common "Bark" (or voice) he hears a barking of small dog and realizes in which stupid situation he is.

Potato Republic would serve as a museum to introduce potato as the symbol of Estonian food and to remember history. His high-flown ideas about creating a bath cinema and heritage theatre, however, get stuck due to financial difficulties and general scepticism. The man full of enthusiasm won't give up and gives it another try.
