The specifics and responsibility of the technicians working at Tallinn airport is difficult. Before the plane takes off, the technicians always perform the pre-flight inspection. It is their daily task to check all the parts of an airplane – from the cockpit to the engine. They call themselves "elephants" in their jargon, probably because their task includes the biggest responsibility and guarantees aviation safety for everyone else working in the field.

The drama directed by Kaljo Kiisk is based on the first part of the novel series "Coast of Winds" by Aadu Hint, depicting the events before and during the revolution of 1905 on the island of Saaremaa.

The people of Kaugatoma fisherman's village start to build their own ship in order to earn a living independently from the local baron who does everything to prevent the collective action. Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
