Who are the refugees living among us? How have they come here? How is it possible (if at all) for them to adopt to the life in Estonia?

Only 60 refugees have been issued a living permit in Estonia during the last 20 years. The film tells the story of two of them. Ananthan from Sri Lanka moved to Estonia in 2006, and has settled down nicely with his family. Maroof arrived from Pakistan in 2011, his family a year later, and they are still figuring out the life in a new culture with different traditions.

Russian children study Estonian language with the Total Immersion Method in a Tallinn school in 2001-2012.

In 2001, the first language class using the Total Immersion Method started in Tallinn Läänemere Grammar School where Russian children were specialised in Estonian language. The documentary series "Total Immersion Method users" was filmed in the spring of 2003 that introduced the life of those graduating from the third grade. The documentary produced in collaboration between Estonia and Finland tells about Sillamäe, a former strictly classified mining town in East-Viru county. The town "inherited" the depository of radioactive waste during the Soviet time.

Legacy is a documentary about the „closed city“ of Sillamäe – a city that Stalin founded for the needs of the first atomic bomb built in the Soviet Union. The local Estonian population was almost entirely relocated and the neoclassical resort town was virtually rebuilt for the Soviet elite working in the uranium enriching factory.
