Documentary by Peep Puks about the Estonian 20th Song and Dance Festival in 1985.

Documentary commissioned by the Ministers' Council of Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic about the 20th Song and Dance Festival dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Great Patriotic War and the 45th anniversary of Estonian SSR. The film shows the emotional moments during the preparation phase of the festival, its colourful procession and the festival itself, the honoring ceremony of the choirmasters and dance masters. Maestro Gustav Ernesaks contemplates on the phenomenon of Estonian song festival tradition.

Song Day of expatriate Estonians held in Norrköping, Sweden, on May 31st, 1975.

Emblem of the song day of expatriate Estonians. Swedish and Estonian national flags are taken in together to the sports hall; organizers and participants march in - children's choir, female choirs, mixed choir, male choirs and folk dancers. Jaan Allas, chairman of the organizing team of the song day, holds a speech – he recalls that the first song day of expatriate Estonians in Sweden was held namely in Norrköping in 1947. Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
