Erik Norkroos was born in 1969, Tallinn. His first job was a camera assistant at Tallinnfilm studio. After work he was making art: made photographs, paintings, shot amateur films and took part in group exhibitions (paintings, photos and films). After few years of living a life of a freelance artist he entered and graduated the first film school in Estonia (now known also as Baltic Film and Media School) as a cameraman. Since then shot around 60 films - most of them documentaries. Founder and owner of a film production companies Rühm Pluss Null/Missing Pictures and Umberto Production where he is producing films for decades already. He collaborates a lot with different audio-visual artists and mostly shooting and editing their videos. Lately re-discovered himself also as director and won some prizes with his latest short films Birthday (2011/2012), One Hot Summer Day (2012) and Pearls Of The Black Sea (2014). Founder and owner of a film production companies Rühm Pluss Null/Missing Pictures and Umberto & Ko/Umberto Production where he is producing films for decades already.
Director Kristjan Ojang has previously worked on television.
Burlesquers is his second documentary.
