    Born in 1975, in Cesis, Latvia. Documentary film director, photographer and journalist.

    Since 1996 Kaspars has worked as a director, scriptwriter and cinematographer, and he has participated in the production of more than 20 documentaries focusing on social and environmental issues. His documentary Seda. People of the Marsh (2004) was co-produced with filmtank hamburg GmbH for ARTE/NDR; in Latvia this film received a prize at the National Film Festival Lielais Kristaps as The Best Document of the Century. His documentary homo@lv (2010) was the first documentary from Latvia screened at the Berlin International Film Festival.

    Estonian film director German Golub was born on February 3, 1993 in Pärnu. He finished the Pärnu Russian High School in 2012 and took the 3D graphics and visualisation course at the Tartu Art School after that. He graduated from Tallinn Polytechnic School in 2015 as the television camera operator and he has been working as freelance gaffer and cameraman in Estonian Public Broadcasting since 2016.  At the same time he has been working in different film production companies as an assistant director and in other positions. German Golub graduated from Tallinn University Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School (BFM) in 2020 with a BA degree in Film Arts curriculum as film director. He won the Student Oscar in the category of international films with his short film "My Dear Corpses" completed for the BA thesis. The American Film Academy selected the best student films from 1,474 nominees, and all winners are also eligible to be nominated for an Oscar in Best Short Film category. For the first time in history, a film made for BFM's Film Arts curriculum has been nominated for the Student Academy Awards.

    The future plans of German Golub include a film about track bicycle racer Erika Salumäe and he is preparing a political satire movie also.
