Arvo Pärt´s work, "... which was the son of..." was pecially commissioned for the contcert tour of European capitals of culture in 2000.
Film recorded the rehearsals of Voices of Europe, youth choir of the European capitals of culture before the premiere in Reykjavik on 26 August 2000. The composer also took part in the rehearsals.
The youth choir Voices of Europe included 90 singers from eight countries, aged 16-23.
The chief conductor was Thorgerdur Ingolfsdottir.
