Plot summary

Dagne, her husband and teenager daughter are living in the peaceful Latvian countryside. While everyone is busy with his works and dreams, the family ties are loosening. For a while now, Dagne is diagnosed with slowly emerging deafness. She tries to hide it, but soon she and her family can not longer stay in ignorance. The acceptance of the new situation and the need to adapt to new ways of communication, including learning sign language, is not easy for neither of them. Therefore, Dagne feels left alone and not supported in this so hard time for her, as her daughter Kate is very busy with her music band and preparation for coming contest, but husband Arthur is very occupied with her farm works. Even simple daily things becomes complicated, impossible and emotionally hard for Dagne. Her deafness becomes as uniting element for the family.
