Plot summary

Feeding calves and pigs in Sõmerpalu sovkhoz in Võru county, Estonia.

The filming truck of Kinostuudio drives to Võru, Estonia. Views to the streets, shop windows and the slogan depicting the phrase "100 thousand tons of meat to the state". The district committee recommends filmmakers to drive to Sõmerpalu. They observe how calves are fed in the farm – the young animals get milk directly from the dam. There is no point milking the cow since the calves can get the milk from the dam. Other tasks can be performed in the barn at the same time. Udo Miller, head of the sovkhoz, and electrician Heldur Kamber invented the automatic line for feeding the pigs. Tank truck brings the food that moves to the trough with the compresesed air. During 15 minutes about 600 pigs are fed and the work plans are fulfilled.
