KINORANOK (2022)

Documentary about a peaceful life in front of the war.

After the war started millions of people left their homes in order to find shelter in different countries. Estonia organises places for thousands of refugees from Ukraine. After first wave of people arrive and first shocking goes down Ukrainians start realising that the war will not finish soon. Emilia and her family settles in Tallinn and waits for the moment when they can go back. She is just 7, but she already knows how the war looks like. Emilia already got used to routine life in Estonia but she doesn’t want to stay. She regularly calls her father in Lutsk and talks about weather and homeworks. Film introduces Emilia as regular kid in extraordinary situation. What kids think about war? Do they understand what is going on? How it will influence their future?
