Riksu (2021)

A glimpse to the life of a young boy, living with difficulties, but also an immersely creative mind.

Riksu is a young boy from Tallinn, Estonia. He is trying to find his place in the surrounding world while growing up as an individual human being and forming his own personality. Riksu possesses an immensely creative mind and imagination that many of his age, or even adults, may not grasp, which on the downside sometimes points him out of the crowd. It often feels like he would be living between two realities - one in his mind and the one the “rest of us” occupy.
The filmmakers are trying through visual storytelling to question what we regard as being “normal” in our society and how hard we should mold the growing minds into the molds we have created. Should we even fix everything that deviates from it?
