Lockdown (2020)

Students film | Drama Duration 17:05

Plot summary

The film begins with a panoramic view of a cloudy city and its deserted streets. Next, the viewer enters the apartment of a young couple, who is locked between the four walls of their flat. The husband and his wife are forced to constantly be close to each other because of the imposed regime of self-isolation. The viewer can clearly feel the tension and a rift between the main characters.
During a conversation with her friend, the wife complains that after losing his job, her husband became isolated, which further complicated their relationship. Instead of finding a new job, he sits on the couch the entire day and doesn’t even offer help with the housework.
After unsuccessfully trying to give him a haircut, the husband loses his temper and shows the first signs of domestic violence – he painfully grabs his wife's hand and aggressively shoves her out of the bathroom. Afterwards the husband starts shaving his head with a razor.
The husband calls his university friend, who is also the husband of his wife's friend, and tells him about the job loss and relationship problems with his wife. Friends decide that they need to defuse the situation and unwind by hosting an online party.
Their wives decide that they will play the game “Truth or Dare” at the party. During the game, it is revealed that the husband must report to an oncological clinic for analysis and the wife is pregnant. After the party, the couple finally sorts out their relationship issues and reconciles. The film ends with a panoramic view of the sunny city, promising a brighter future after the end of the quarantine.
