DOCBOX (2018)

On March 27th 2018 Estonian Theater Awards ceremony took place in NUKU theatre. BFM students Marili Kobin and Laura Laasi built a black box in the venue in which was a camera that kept shooting the whole night. People who entered the black box knew they had to answer three questions about what it means to portray Estonian characters in theatre, but everything else came as a surprise for them. The three questions were „Who was your last Estonian character in a play?“, „Show the face of an Estonian character“, „Which chracteristics are typical for an Estonian character?“. Answers of 59 actors and theatre professionals paint an honest, humorous and meaningful picture.
