Plot summary

Documentary about Khanty children and bout their games and worldview.

Behind the Ural mountains, in the village of Kazym there live the children of Khanty reindeer herders. They barely remember their roots. All communication is held in Russian. To keep the children in contact with their perishing identity, every summer a camp is held. In 2012 two Estonians are invited to participate in the camp. Anne Türnpu is a recognised theatre practitioner and a researcher of Finno-Ugric nations. She has two weeks to create a theatre performance inspired by the stories of these children. She is joined by Laura Kõiv as set designer and documentarist. Laura intuitively starts a project that would become “Kazym report”. She interviews the children asking them a question: what do you fear?
