Young woman Maarit in her 30s dedicates all her time and energy to take care of her disabled father. Maarit sacrifices her life for looking after her capricious and annoying father. She has no romantic relationships with any men nor any children. But her biological clock keeps ticking. One day, Maarit meets a nine-year-old Rainer with whom a strange connection arises.
