Plot summary

Demonstration of May 1st in Tallinn. 

Celebration of the solidarity day of workers on May 1st on Victory Square (Võidu väljak), Tallinn. People carrying flags in front of the procession march across the square, accompanied by the orchestra music. Numerous slogans and flags above the columns, big portraits of Lenin are carried in front of the procession. As always, lots of schoolchildren and students are participating in the demonstration. People are loudly shouting greetings, praising the solidarity of the Soviet Union nations, the Communist Party and Fidel Castro, the hero of the Cuban nation. Arnold Koop, Johannes Käbin, Edgar Tõnurist, Aleksei Müürisepp, Arnold Veimer and others are greeting people in the grandstand. Columns of work collectives are marching by, men are raising their hats for greeting. Even if the sky is grey and the ground is wet from rain, the participants are in a good mood.
