The Redemption (2000)

17 year old Sanna is sent to a boarding school after her eccentric mother, who is an artist, is accused of murdering one of her male models and is sentenced to prison. In the ascetic environment og the girls' boardeng school, tensions soon emerge between Sanna and her roommate Ann, caused mainly by the shy Laundri Toni, who works at the school. In addition to the rather harsh limits of the outer world, the young girls have to come to terms with their own sexuality that is springing up in them and is initially vague and frightening. Sanna is unable to adapt to this new environment. She continues to be tormented by fears inherited from her mother and memories of her childhood. The girl takes a drastic step to liberate herself from these fears.
