On the 50th anniversary of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact (August 23rd, 1989), a non-violent protest action was organized called the Baltic Way that aimed at directing the world's attention to the attempts of the Baltic States to regain independence. Around two million people held hands in a 600-kilometres-long human chain through the Baltic states, while expressing their unity for becoming free countries. Documentary reportage about the events of that time in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
