It seems that life is peaceful in the Republic of Estonia; however, an old general Põdder has a bad feeling. Tallinn is full of conspiratorial apartments and the rebels are gathering on the border. The film is an action drama depicting the attempted Communist coup d'etat on December 1st, 1924 and the bloody events that took part that night - fateful times for the young republic as well as the young married couple.
