Memento (1966)

According to the director of the film, Ülo Tambek, the documentary has been dedicated to the Soviet soldiers who fought in World War II in the late fall of 1941, protecting the island of Hiiumaa from the German forces.
It is late fall of 1941. Oryol has surrendered, Kharkov has fallen, Leningrad is enclosed, there are German forces in Khimki station. Deep in the rear, about 400 km from the front in Estonian islands soldiers and seamen fought without any hope. They knew that the key for Leningrad and Moscow was in their hands. Only a few were left from thousands of them. We don't even know the names of most of the soldiers. Materials from the state film archives have been used in the documentary.
