Taarka (2008)

When young Taarka plays the frog and prince game with her friend Vasso and kisses him, her destiny is already being changed - Taarka's father has gambled away all his money and his daughter's silver jewelry in the tavern. Taarka has a great singing talent but since she is poor and has dark complexion her boyfriend Vasso is told not to marry her. When Taarka gives birth to twins, Vasso is nowhere to be seen. She struggles through life alone and becomes a self-confident woman living according to her own rules. She is known as the Mother of Song both in Setoland, her home district, and elsewhere; however, she will always be an outcast and a stranger among her neighbours.
