Sünopsis

Kadriorg Palace was founded in 1718 by Russian czar Peter the Great. Documentary about the palace during different era and through different people. King of Sweden Gustav V has visited the palace; the head of state August Rei and President of the Republic of Estonia Konstantin Päts have worked in the building. Successful graduates, writers and diplomats have been at the reception at the palace. During the first Republic of Estonia the palace became the residence of Estonian government. Oskar Pärn tells about the events that took place on June 21st, 1940. Aldo Roomere, former secretary to the new head of government Johannes Vares, shares his thoughts about Vares. When the times changed, new people came to the palace such as Eduard Päll, August Jakobson, Johan Eichfeld, Aleksei Müürisepp, Artur Vader, Karl Vaino, Johannes Käbin, Arnold Rüütel.
