Estonian track cyclist, the future owner of world records and olympic gold medalist Erika Salumäe is about to reach among the top cyclists of the world. However, in the world championship in women's track cycling in 1984 she has to deal both with the glamorous moments of victory as well as disappointment.


Finaalis ameeriklanna Connie Paraskeviniga võidab Salumäe kaks sõitu ja ootab juba autasustamist, kui teatatakse, et ta olevat teises sõidus määrusi rikkunud. Kolmandaks sõiduks eestlannal vaimuenergiat ei jätku.
