Estonia Theatre combines Estonian national self-awareness and the history of its culture and nationhood. The building of the opera theatre is five years older than the first Republic of Estonia and it has hosted social, cultural and political events that give an overview of the story of development of Estonian state and nation throughout the century. Who knows - maybe the Republic of Estonia would not exist at all without the theatre.
