The documentary was commissioned by the Committee of State Agrocultural Industry of Estonian SSR and tells about the history of breeding of Estonian black-and-white cow, illustrated by archival film materials and photographs. Aarne Pung, agricultural scientist; Manivald Metsaalt, scientist of animal breeding; Paul Brothe, German animal breeder and Peeter Kibe, chief zootechnician of Estonian collective farm, discuss about the recent developments in the field.
