Anacrusis (2023)

The movie tells about an old man's five-month journey. Väino is a charismaRc man whose passion has been music his whole life. He is a choir director in a local small town choir and is preparing for a choral recital before a Estonian song fesRval. Whilst Väino is usually always at the top of his work, then now, aler the deepening demenRa caused by old age, things have gone downhill. Aler the death of someone close to him, Väino’s condiRon is worse than ever. However, his everyday life takes a turn when he experiences episodes of memory loss, which puts him in strange and comical situaRons. In the process, he is removed from his posiRon as choir director, but at the same Rme he manages to fall in love again with the first love of his life. Väino gets stuck in a place where the people around him know him, but he no longer knows them.
