Sünopsis

Freedom is not something you inherit. Exhibition manager of the KGB prison cells ponders how telling stories of the tortured in his daily life affects to him, in a story that flickers between reality and the past of the tortured prisoner.
VABAMU, Museum of Occupations and Freedom Exhibition manager Sander Jürissons daily life consists of stories about tortured Estonians in the KGB prison cells in Tallinn between 1940-1959. Documentary tries to find out how does the life with these stories affect to Sander and what kind of a personal meaning and purpose wraps behind the job. While going deeper to the personal meaning with Sander, we also reawaken the prisoners experience through dramatizations to illustrate how was the life in the KGB prison cells.
Daily life with these stories brings fear to Sander, but at the same time these stories tell him that there is always hope left. However, Sand thinks that it is good to have two lives, so he doesn’t tell these stories to his family.
