A creative documentary about how the seto culture is transitioning amidst some historical, political and cultural upheavals; told through three characters trying to make sense of what it means to be a seto in today’s surrealistic border landscapes of Setomaa. ‘Dreams’ are considered pivotal in seto beliefs and it’s through them that the three characters escape the demons of the present to meet and understand a nuanced past which they have inherited as setos. The two-world imageries of Setomaa express and compliment this dual existence of the three characters.
