Demonstration of Farmers (1970)

Expatriate Estonians in Australia are watching a news programme on TV about farmers' demonstration. Among the farmers' problems is egg production. People with posters move with the procession along city streets. Egg producers want fixed prices and guaranteed stability and safety in production process. The Minister of Industry comes to meet the farmers gathered on the square. Reporter interviews the representative of the association of egg production companies. Free eggs are distributed to city residents as a protest action. Freight trucks carrying eggs are parked by the street. Expatriate Estonians sitting in a living room are shouting in English together with the demonstrantors. A woman with a microphone is asking her acquaintances what they think about the protest. It is a common viewpoint that the demonstration is highly needed; time will show the results.
