Sünopsis

John Baltsar has recorded conifers in his home garden, Mrs Baltsar standing near the tilted fir tree. The following episode depicts men in old-fashioned uniforms, marching below the crossed swords. Military parade in 1939 celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Yankee Division's homecoming to Boston in 1919. Various military units participate in the parade, including vehicles, military technology, a tank, brass bands, drummers, balloon sellers. The documentary continues with episodes from New York World Fair on June 7, 1939. Views of different pavillions: General Motors, pavillion of foreign exhibitions near the complex of fountains, pavillion of Electric Utilities with the water wall, the water cascade of the Italian pavillion, Ford's pavillion with the cars driving on tilted roads, Petroleum, Goodrich. People entering and exiting the pavillions. Views of the fair ground. Huge statue of George Washington, fountains, national flags waving. Excerpt from the open air performance. Several episodes about the Elizabeth Park in Hartford in June 1937; the recreational park; flowers of home garden.
